Erasmus+, Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Capacity-building projects in the field of higher education PROJECT ‘THEMES’ – GOOD GOVERNANCE IN UNIVERSITIES
(‘THEMES’ = Training of Higher Education Members, Executives and Secretaries)
Summary: The aim of this project is to improve governance of universities in the participating countries thus enhancing autonomy and accountability, and links with different stakeholders with an interest in higher education,in particular the essential links which must be forged with the private sector in post-industrial societies. This is done by introducing the concept of training and development for governors, executives and secretaries and organising a coherent set of training events, visits and consultations. The tangible results will be a manual of good practice and a sustainable development structure with access in all local languages so facilitating participation from the widest possible social spectrum.

Specific objectives: Improving cooperation and implementation of technical and technology solutions through the modernization of the teaching process, developing and modernization curricula, the application of ICT technologies, increasing the level of IT literacy in this area, and creating opportunities for professional developmentof employees. Developing training materials for the work force in waste managment sector in Serbia and region, Creating a sustainable model of professional practice through the development of higher education.
