Regional HERE seminar ” A magic triangle of Higher Education – Funding Model – Research Capacity – Quality of PhD Studies”

HERE seminar "A magic triangle of Higher Education - Funding Model - Research Capacity - Quality of PhD Studies" will be organized on September 25-26, 2017 in Budva (Hotel Queen of Montenegro – Bečići). The event is organized by national HERE teams as well as National Erasmus+ Offices from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The seminar will gathered 30-40 participants form all three countries.

38 new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programmes

The results of the 2017 selection of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programmes have been published. 38 new programmes have been selected, covering a wide range of areas, from chemical nano-engineering to documentary film-making and social work with families to tropical forestry. The total cost of the projects including scholarships is EUR 112.6 million.

EACEA Institutional visit to University of Montenegro

Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), together with National Erasmus+ Office in Montenegro and an External expert conducted an institutional visit to University of Montenegro with a view to find evidence and good practices on the impact of the projects on individual, institutional and national level. The visit was implemented on June 29-30, 2017.

Erasmus+ CBHE project RE@WBC –anti-plagiarism software at University of Montenegro

University of Montenegro started to use an anti-plagiarism software iThenticate, best-known service for detection of plagiarism. Software iThenticate has been purchased within Erasmus CBHE project "Enhancement of HE Research Potential Contributing to Further Growth of the WB Region".

From Erasmus to Erasmus+ A Story of 30 Years

This year the European Union marks the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus programme, its oldest programme in the field of education. Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport for 2014–2020. The programme combines all the current European and international programmes and initiatives in the field of education, training, young people and sport. A ceremony marking three decades of Erasmus was held at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro. The event was organized by National Erasmus+ Office, in cooperation with EU Delegation, Ministry of Education and University of Montenegro.

Celebration of 30th anniversary of the Erasmus Programme

In 2017, 30th anniversary of the Erasmus Programme is being celebrated all around Europe. In order to celebrate this anniversary a series of events will be organized in beneficiary countries as well as at the level of EU institutions, throughout the year. Therefore, we decided to celebrate this significant anniversary in Montenegro, taking into account that Erasmus was the most important EU programe for students and staff exchange and today is a part of Erasmus+ programme, in which Montenegro participates as a partner country. It would be an occasion to present the results, as well as prospective of the Programme in the future. The event will take place on April 21, 2017 at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, starting at 10h.

Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for Young Researchers from the European Neighbourhood

Universities of the Coimbra Group offer short-term visits to young researchers from higher education institutions from countries in the European Neighbourhood. The main aim of this scholarship programme is to enable scholars to undertake research in which they are engaged in their home institution and to help them establish academic and research contacts.

Round Table within Erasmus+ youth project „Be Ready for EU Values”

A round table within Erasmus+ youth project „Be Ready for EU Values" was organized on March 01, 2017 at High School „Slobodan Škerović" in Podgorica. The event gathered youth people and policy makers at national level and was aimed to key chalenges for development of youth in Montenegro. National Erasmus+ Coordinator for Montenegro, Ms. Vanja Drljević and Director General for Higher Education in the Ministry of Education, Ms. Mubera Kurpejović officially opened event.
